After a tremendous amount of self-imposed gear anxiety, I decided to leave the X-T1 and various lenses at home and packed only the diminutive Fujifilm X70 to cover my photography needs during my nine days in Peru.
For a nine day trip to Peru with my son, my most important planning and packing is done, namely the photo gear I take along the Fujifilm X70
These pictures were taken in Providence Rhode Island. My lens of choice for this evening was the Fujinon XF 55-200mm. The timing and the sunset was a bonus.
My father and son trip to NYC came with the requisite photo nerd gear anxieties: What camera(s) do I take? Will I have the right lenses? Fujifilm X-T1, 14mm, and 18-55 was the solution.
During a family vacation to Cape Elizabeth, Maine, instead of sleeping late, I was out with the Fujifilm X-T1, XF 18-55 F2.8-4 lens, a B+W 10 Stop ND filter, and a cup of coffee to capture the sunrise.
I thought I had the perfect travel kit…until I experienced the simplicity of just a Fujifilm X camera and the XF 27mm f/2.8 lens. It was a game changer.
Photographically, a family holiday means travelling light. There will be no making my family stop and wait while I mess with gear. So which Fuji gear do I bring?
